I am a queer, neurodivergent therapist, and I bring a unique background of animal biology and neuroscience to my work. I am drawn to the deep work of psychotherapy, that goes beyond just listening and coping skills, into the root of issues to resolve them.
With my background in both biology and psychology, I can help you develop a deeper understanding of why you’re feeling the way you do. I strive to create a collaborative space where you can be your whole self without judgment. I understand how it feels to be stuck, to lack purpose, and to be overwhelmed by big emotions without knowing how to cope with them. Together, we can begin to make sense of your thoughts, feelings and actions so you can move forward towards your best life.

I come to this work after spending 30+ years as a practising lawyer. I have been married for over twenty-five years, am a mom, step-mom, and lifelong student of people, so I bring a combination of keen study and life experience to my therapeutic work.
I work with adults and couples who are looking for solutions and support. I believe that every individual has immense potential to grow, change and navigate life’s challenges. I view mental and physical health as being inextricably linked, and my studies in neuroscience deeply influence my understanding of people. I have trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques and have specific trainings in dealing with grief, trauma and ADHD. In my couples’ work, I use Gottman Method and Emotionally Focussed Therapy (EFT) approaches.

Outside the office, I mountain bike, practise yoga and spend as much time outdoors as possible. Most of all, I love connecting with people! I would be delighted to have a conversation with you!

Awaiting registration as a naturopathic doctor with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO)
Master of Science: Human Health & Nutritional Sciences (University of Guelph)
Bachelor of Science: Nutritional & Nutraceutical Sciences (University of Guelph)

I have a background in Human Health and Nutritional Sciences, and I love blending that knowledge with a more intuitive approach to care. Having been in the patient’s seat myself — through burnout, intense athletic training, and time on medical leave — I understand how challenging the healing process can be. I understand what it’s like to have your concerns minimized by the medical system, and I strive to treat you like the whole human that you are.
When it comes to your health, I don’t subscribe to the common belief that “normal” includes living in discomfort. Life can be energetic, pain-free and full of ease. As a practitioner, I want to meet you where you’re at, and also look at the ‘bigger picture’ to understand how you got to this place. My goal is to help you navigate your current experience, while simultaneously implementing healthy habits & prompting self-reflection so that we can keep you healthy in the long-term.

In my personal life, I am an avid waterski show performer — having competed for Team Canada at the World Waterski Show Championships, and serving as a board member for a number of years. I love being by the lake, socializing, my morning routine and a frothy matcha latte.
